「2012年のオリンピックで勝ちたいんだ。」ウォーレンは言いました。
「木曜日の試合に勝って、次は25日のDREAM16だ。そのあと大晦日にDREAMのタイトルと取りたい。最初の数ヶ月で防衛戦をして、MMAから引退するよ。そのあとオリンピックに出て、またMMAに復帰するんだ。」
“I’ll win the Olympics in 2012,” Warren told Ranallo. “We’ll win this fight here this coming Thursday, then the 25th [DREAM.16], and then hopefully we get the DREAM belt on New Year’s. I’ll defend my titles the first few months of next year, and then retire from fighting, go into the Olympics and then come back after it.”

「引退についてはわからないんだ。でもレスリングを集中してやっていくよ。BELLATORやDREAMで闘うのとオリンピックレベルは全く別物だよ。自分にはそれが出来ると思うし、自分の子供も理解できる年齢になっていると思うしね。一つ言える事はレスリングで勝てなかったと言う事。そして何か自分にも出来ると言う事。だから今はそれを見過ごす事をしたくないんだ。今から4年後に出来るかどうかわからない。今まだ若いし、調子もいいからオリンピックに挑戦しようと思うんだ。自己満足になるけど、もちろん金メダルを勝ち取るよ。」
“I don’t know about retire, but I’m going to just focus on wrestling. It’s a whole different ballgame out there on the Olympic-level than competing in Bellator or DREAM. I think I can do it, and I think that my kids will be old enough to be there and see it. I say it’s the only thing I didn’t win in wrestling, and it’s something I can do, so I just don’t want it to pass me by. I don’t know if four years from now I will be able to make a push for it, so I know I’m young now and in shape, so I thought, Why not go out and win an Olympic gold medal for personal gratification.”

A fight between BJ Penn and Takanori Gomi is what a lot of you have been clamoring over, however according to a few Japanese sources it looks like Takanori Gomi will face Nate Diaz for a contender spot perhaps by the end of the year.

Last night, James Toney refused to attend the post-fight press conference stating that he was angry at Dana White for something he said after his failed MMA debut.

I mentioned it earlier in the week, M-1 Global is currently trying to assemble a fight between Fedor and Blagoi Ivanov, the guy who defeated Emelianenko in Sambo in in the semi-finals of the 2008 World Sambo Championships. The fight is being pinned to take place in Russia sometime this winter. I was also told the Fedor is severely disappointed of this outcome.

ポールヘイマンはWWEとビンスマクマホンと言う巨人に対し、ECWという団体を作り挑みました。結局最後にはWWEが勝つ事になるのですがヘイマンはプロレスを明らかに変えました。
Paul Heyman has gone up against Goliath once before when his ECW brand went head-to-head with Vince McMahon and the WWE. As we all know, the WWE eventually won out but Heyman definitely changed the landscape in pro wrestling.

前までWWEの実況放送をしていたジムロスはSTRIKEFORCEは団体をもっと発展させるために、ヘイマンの獲得に興味をもっているとブログで伝えていました。
Former WWE play-by-play man, good ‘ol Jim Ross, recently blogged about Strikeforce’s reported interest in acquiring Heyman’s services to upgrade their company’s much maligned production value.

「STRIKEFORCEのスコットコーカーのインタビューを見た時、彼はポールヘイマンについて語っていたんだ。彼の案件は他の事より重要な事になるよ。STRIKEFORCEに何らかの形で関わっていくって言う噂だからね。」ロスはそう書きました。

This story will undoubtedly take on a life of its own over the next several days.”

聞いた事があるような音楽がスピーカーから流れる中、ジミーレノンjrのアナウンスで選手が花道を入場してこようが、ファンの視聴を妨げるような酷いカメラアングルだろうが、それらはどうにかするのはヘイマンには容易い事で、彼はカリフォルニア州サンホセに本拠地をおくSTRIKEFORCEを助けてくれるはずです。
Whether it’s the generic music that blares through the speakers while Jimmy Lennon Jr. announces the fighters down the aisle, or the horrid camera angles that continually hinder the fans’ viewing experience, there are definitely tweaks Heyman could implement that could significantly help the San Jose, California based MMA promotion.

プロレスに関していろいろ言う人もいますが、プロレスは決してなくならないし、WWEは毎週試合を行うほど世界的なエンターテイメントととしての価値を持っています。
No matter what anyone might say about the sport of professional wrestling, there’s one thing that can never be discounted; and that’s the overall entertainment value the WWE consistently brings each and every week.

何より、ヘイマンはスーパースターを見つけて育てる術を持っています。彼はブロックレスナーをプロレス界のスーパースターに育てた男として信じられており、それは間違いない事です。
Above all else, Heyman has a serious knack for finding superstars and nurturing them along. He was the one who believed Brock Lesnar would be the next star in pro wrestling, and needless to say he was right.

問題なのは、それをMMAでも実現出来るのでしょうか？
The question is, can he translate that success over to MMA?

もし出来たとしてもオクタゴンからレスナーのような存在を見つける事が出来るのでしょうか？
If he can, will he be able to pry his buddy Brock away from the Octagon’s clenches?
