「ラシャドと戦う事はあまり意味のない事だと思うよ。だって彼はベルトを持っていないんだから。」彼は語りました。
「でもいいように考えると、ショーグン戦のいいウォーミングアップになるかもな。いいように考えればそれはそれで最高だよな。」
“I feel like fighting Rashad is a step backwards, because he doesn’t have the belt anymore,” Rampage told FightersOnly of facing his rival. “But if things go right, this will be a nice warm-up fight for Shogun. 「全てが終わったよ。今朝解雇通知が来たよ。この事実がオフィシャルで分かって良かったよ。彼らのやり方は恥ずべきやり方だよ。でもいい面もあってオファーを受けるドアをあける事が出来るようななったんだ。
ビッグネームが出場する7月3日オーストラリアで行われる試合にでることにしたよ。他にもオファーがたくさん来てるんだ。予定としては夏の終わりまでに2試合してそのうち出来れば一つは大きな大会に出たいな。今DREAMやSRCと話をしているんだ。いい選手がたくさんいていい試合ができるからね。彼らは自分が稼がなきゃ行けないファイターだということを理解してくれているんだ。MMAは自分の食い扶持なんだよ。もし出場停止を北米で受けるならそれを受ける事には不安は無いよ。でも自分は稼がなきゃ生きていけないからボクシングをやるのも一つの手だと思っているよ。練習相手の一人がレンドルムンロウで彼のトレーナーがフランクマロニーと自分のために話をしてくれたんだ。MMAをやりながら自分のボクシングスキルも上げていきたい。できれば両方を同時進行で行いたいんだ。おかしな事が起きているんだ。ダンハーディーを別にしてこの階級にはエキサイトさせてくれるファイターがいないんだ。GSPやジョシュコシュチェックは素晴らしい選手だけど２人ともレスラーだからあまりエキサイト出来る試合を見せてくれない。おそらく将来ストライカーが主流になる時代がくるだろう。その時がくるまでたくさんの選手と戦う事にするよ。どこでかって？KJヌーン、ニックディアス、ジェイヒーロン、ジョーリッグス」
“That’s it. All over. I got my walking papers [from the UFC] this morning and I am glad that things are now official. It’s a shame things went the way they did, but on the brighter side of things it opens up a lot more doors for me.
I am fighting on a pay-per-view show in Australia on July 3 with a lot of other big names, and I have other offers in the pipeline… My plan is to string a couple of fights together before the end of the summer and hopefully get on one of the grand prix shows. We’re currently talking to both Dream and Sengoku about getting a slot on their shows and there are some really good fighters there I can match-up with. They must understand that as a fighter I have to earn a living. This is my livelihood and if I have to serve a suspension before I fight again in North America then I will, I have no qualms about that, but I need to earn a living now… Boxing is still an option. One of my training partners is Rendall Munroe and his trainer is currently speaking to [boxing promoter] Frank Maloney on my behalf. I want to do both, fight MMA and get my boxing up to speed, but I want to do them concurrently… Stranger things have happened, aside from Dan [Hardy], there isn’t many exciting fighters there in that weight class. Although a fantastic athlete, George St-Pierre and Josh Koscheck isn’t really going to be that exciting as they are both wrestlers. Maybe in the future they will need a striker to come in an shake things up. Until then, there are plenty of guys for me to fight. Where to start? K.J. Noons, Nick Diaz, Jay Hieron, Joe Riggs…”
なんか変な訳になってしまいましたが大筋ではこんな感じです。文章をみるとほとぼりが冷めるまで日本を含む海外で戦って最終的にはSTRIKEFORCEで戦う事が決まっているようですね。

“I’m no Josh Koscheck fan. Personally, I think he’s [expletive]. We actually don’t get along very well. I like Paul Daley a lot, but what he did was inexcusable. He walked over to Koscheck and Koscheck could have thought he was coming over to shake hands or congratulate him and he took a cheap shot at him like that. If you throw a sucker punch like that after a fight in the UFC, I don’t care who you are, you’re done. He’ll never fight for us again. I cut Nick Diaz after he was fighting [Joe Riggs] at the hospital. People are sick and dying and you can’t be in the hospital fighting. I cut the guy even though I know he’s a very good fighter.”

再びダナホワイトはMMA業界で秘密にしておかなければいけない事を暴露しました。STRIKEFORCEのミドル級チャンピオンでフリーエージェント中のジェイクシールズがUFCに出場することです。

Strikeforce middleweight champion and impending free agent Jake Shields is on his way to the UFC, according to White.「彼の契約期間とか45日間だとか60日間だとかいろいろな論争があったけど、それが別に560日間でも構わないんだ。だって実際の話ジェイクシールズはUFCにやってくるんだから」ホワイトは今週土曜日の番組で断言しました。
“There’s a lot of controversy over how long his contract is, whether it’s 45 days, 60 days, I don’t care if it’s 560 days, I know exactly where Jake Shields’ is coming,” White confirmed while appearing on ESPN2’s MMA Live this past Saturday.ダナがシールズがオクタゴンでデビューさせようと言う考えは分かりましたが、いつデビューするのかが疑問です。
Now that White has made his intentions perfectly clear regarding Shields’ Octagon future, the only question is when the Cesar Gracie Jiu-Jitsu trained fighter will make his debut.広く知られている事はシールズがUFCと契約を結んだ後、彼はウェルター級に階級を移しGSPのタイトルを狙うと言う事です。
It is widely believed that when Shields inks his UFC contract, he’ll be competing in the welterweight division and will challenge Georges St-Pierre for the title.GSPの次の相手はジョシュコシュチェックで12月に行われる事はほぼ決定しています。彼らは次のTUFの収録が終わった後に戦います。
St-Pierre’s next opponent will be Josh Koscheck – at an event most likely destined for December – after they complete taping next season’s edition of “The Ultimate Fighter.”

■UFC113でリョートマチダを降し新チャンピオンになったショーグンが次戦を語っています。mmaconvertより。
ショーグンは初防衛戦の相手が誰でも特に気にしていません。仲の良いヴァンダレイシウバを除いて、彼は誰とでも戦うつもりです。ダナホワイトによればランペイジジャクソンとラシャドエバンスの勝者が最初の防衛戦の相手だと言われています。しかしランディクゥートアが最初の相手だとも言われています。
It doesn’t matter to Mauricio “Shogun” Rua who he defends his title against first. With the exception of good friend Wanderlei Silva, he’ll fight anyone. For me it doesn’t matter. I’ve heard a rumor that it could be Randy Couture… I think it’s between Randy, Rashad or Rampage…It would be a really tough fight, they are high level athletes and, for sure, the fights would be very tough… Now I’ll have to train even more…I leave it to Dana White to think about… I’m a professional fighter and I fight against whoever they want me to fight with.
