■UFC112でアンデウソンシウバの対戦相手が難航しているようです。mmafightingより。

UFCのダナホワイトは金曜日の朝、アンデウソンはアブダビで行われるUFC112でミドル級の防衛戦を行うと語りました。
UFC President Dana White told MMA Fighting early Friday morning that Silva would still fight at the event, scheduled for April 10 in Abu Dhabi, and that he would fight at middleweight, indicating a title defense.

チェールソネンはUFC109での怪我により出場禁止期間中であるのとビッグマッチに向けて準備をする時間が無さ過ぎると言う事で今回は対戦を見送りました。
Sonnen was medically suspended following his UFC 109 win last weekend for multiple lacerations, and though he could be cleared in time to fight, it would leave him little time to prepare for the biggest fight of his career.

トップコンテンダーのベイフォードとソネン、２人とも出場できないのでUFCは他のオプションを考えています。UFCはUFC110で闘うビスピングとヴァンダレイシウバの勝者が怪我も無ければ対戦させたいと考えてもいますが、怪我をしないとも限らずやはり時間が少なすぎます。
With top contenders Belfort and Sonnen both unavailable, the UFC has few options at 185. They could roll the dice and hope that the winner of next week’s UFC 110 middleweight tilt between Michael Bisping and Wanderlei Silva impresses and emerges unscathed, but that would require everything to go right and would leave little time for a backup plan.

■UFC110でマイケルビスピングと対戦するヴァンダレイシウバですがそのトレーナーのラファエルコルデイロがインタビューで語っています。mmaconvertより。

昔のヴァンダレイはリングの中でアドレナリンを最大限に出す方法を知っていたよ。今回、我々は彼の才能が引き立つ、この昔ながらのでも効率的なやり方を再現するんだ。これがリングの中で最強になるやり方だよ。そしてもっとも重要な事は彼をMMAの象徴にすることなんだ。この方法ならMr.プライドと呼ばれていた頃に戻す事ができる。だからこのトレーニング方法を行っていて、このやり方をやめるつもりは無い。
多くの技術的な事、たくさんの情報、たくさんの攻撃方法と防御方法がムエタイだけではなくあるが、すべてがミックスされないといけないんだ。このキャンプでは心肺能力を上げるトレーニングができたが、繰り返し言うが最も大事な事はスパーリングを通して心肺能力をアップすることなんだ。それが良かった頃のヴァンダレイに戻す事ができるのだ。

確かに強かった頃のシウバはもっとアグレッシブでアドレナリンが出まくりだったような気がします。PRIDE後半では変にテクニックに走って見ている方もあまり面白くありませんでした。後先考えていない頃のヴァンダレイシウバは戻ってくるのでしょうか、楽しみです。
