■メイヘムミラーの役目はMTVを見てるティーンエイジャーと20代男性を引っ張り込むことらしいです。

メイヘムは10月いっぱいで終了したMTV木曜夜のショーを見ていたファンにMMAを見てもらうことを望んでいます。その番組は80万世帯で見られていました。再放送を合わせたらもっと視聴者がいるはずです。そのほとんどは10代から20代でCBSTVが土曜日に放送する番組で視聴率のキーとなる世代です。
Miller hopes to bring with him a fan base from his Thursday-night MTV show with an MMA theme that just ended its second season in late October. The show did about 800,000 viewers for the original prime-time showing, and with multiple repeats during the week, the overall viewership was significantly higher, mostly with teenagers and adults in their 20s, a key demographic CBS hopes MMA will bring to its network on Saturday.

MTVは２年前からMMA選手がいじめられっ子を集めてリベンジする番組のホストを探していました。プロデューサーがメイヘムの動画をYOUTUBEで見て、興味をもち彼にオーディションをする事無くホストの役をオファーしました。
MTV was auditioning prospective hosts two years ago for a show where MMA fighters would garner revenge by beating up bullies, when the producers were directed by YouTube videos of Miller. They were so impressed with what they saw that he was offered the job as host without even an audition.

でもメイヘムはファイターも続けていました。最近ではDREAMで見せたハードなダンスが彼を世に知らしめるきっかけになりました。須藤元気や郷野のようなド派手な面をメイヘムが出す事は一見格闘技イベントというよりブロードウェイのミュージカルのように思えますが日本の格闘技イベントでは普通の事なのです。
But Miller remained a fighter, most recently in Japan for the Dream organization where he’s actually better known for his heavily choreographed ring entrances than his fights. Like flamboyant Japanese fighters Genki Sudo and Akihiro Gono, Miller comes out putting on a show, looking like something more you would expect from a Broadway musical than a fight event, but that type of pageantry is popular on Japanese events.

デーブメッツアーはホワイトはリョートマチダとショーグンの再戦をUFC108で行いたいと思っていると言いました。
ショーグンはその対戦を了承し、マチダは健康面で許せば大丈夫のようだと言及しました。
Dave Meltzer said Dana White wants the Lyoto Machida vs. Mauricio “Shogun” Rua rematch on UFC 108. Meltzer also stated that Shogun has agreed to the date, and Machida will let them know if he’s healthy enough to take it.

UFCが再戦を早期に実現したいのは現在UFC104でのリョートマチダVSショーグンの勝敗に関する論争がヒートアップしているからですぐにでも再戦をアナウンスしたいからです。
UFCはファンの怒りを和らげるだけではなくPPVの購入も促したいのです。もしUFC108でレスナーVSカーウィン、マチダVSショーグン、エバンスVSシウバの戦いが実現したらPPVの売上は100万世帯を超えるでしょう。
They want to return quickly with Machida/Shogun because the controversy is hot right now and if they can make a rematch announcement soon, they can assuage fan anger and channel it into PPV buys. If UFC 108 has Lesnar-Carwin, Machida-Shogun, and Evans-Silva, the show should break the million buy mark.

確かにUFC108は凄い事になりそうですね。

「彼はいいトレーニングをしていると思うよ。でも彼は俺を打ち負かす程の身体じゃない。もし彼が勝ったらギャラはいらないよ。でも彼が郷野に負けた時以上に叩きのめしてやることが俺には出来るよ。」とWEC前ミドル級王者は言いました。
“I wanna fight Mousasi and show that with against me is a whole different thing… He doesn’t have my strength, he doesn’t have my level on the ground. He can be a better striker, but he doesn’t have my strength and he’ll go down once and be submitted”, guarantees Fiho, commenting Mousasi’s fight against Sobral. “HE’s well trained, but I don’t think he’s healthy enough to beat me… If he wins, I don’t even want my salary. But I guarantee he’ll be beaten more than he was against (Akihiro) Gono”, said the former WEC middleweight champion.

“What happened when [Filho] came to America, he wasn’t…he got beat up really bad. Now he’s back in Japan and he feels like a kid in a candy story, I think. He can use all kinds of steroids. And I think the steroids have gone to his head…[Filho] didn’t perform the same as he does in Japan as he does, how you say, in America. And now he suddenly has a big mouth again. I would say that he’s a little donkey that, he’s on steroids, he thinks he’s a running horse. But, he’s more like a little poney…I really believe that he used steroids.

I also fight in Japan and I don’t use anything…If there’s an athletic commission test, he can fight me everywhere, everywhere he wants.”

ムサシ言いますね。頭がおかしいとまで言いますか…。
パウロフィリオとどこでも闘うって言ってますけどDREAMではドラッグテストやってない?から実現しないし、ドラッグテストをやっているところだとパウロが引っかかって実現しないし。つまりやらないってことになりますね…。

“He is going to move to the left and I will go the opposite way. When he sets the kick I will land a straight big right hand on his face to knock him out…I still don’t know what plan to follow against him but I believe in my boxing. I train it so much. I know I’m able to catch Mirko. Luiz Dorea (boxing coach) says if I land a punch on the precise place, it’s over. I’ll look for another the KO but a fight is fight and nobody knows what’ll happen…Cro Cop has to be respected. People may say he is not the same but, for me, he continues being one of the most dangerous MMA fighters. He can finish a fight with only one hit. He left kick is very good and I need to take care with his left hand too…This is such a fight that marks your life, you understand? That’s how I see it. Mirko is a world sensation and it’s crucial for me to fighting well against him. I’m training hard, focused and full of confidence…I’ll search for his chin in there. I want the knockout. ミルコもここで勝って復活するか、ここで負けて後退するか。ミルコの正念場ですね。
