■ミルコ、UFC115欠場の可能性があった!?middleeasyより。

「空港について最初の日4時間、次の日2時間入国検査されたんだ。でも彼らは私の受け答えに満足せずに休んでるホテルにやってきていろいろな質問をしてきたんだ。入国拒否と脅されたよ。クロアチア大使館員がオタワから緊急でやってきてくれたし、UFCも入国関係が得意な最高な弁護士を雇ってくれたんだ。彼らは何が起きているのか分かっているようで弁護士が空港に尋ねにいったんだ。」
“The first day I was kept for four hours and two more the next day. Although they were not satisfied with my answers they let me to sleep in the hotel and I was asked to think about the questions they raised. I was threatened deportation. The Croatian Embassy was urgently flown in from Ottawa and the UFC hired the best lawyer for immigration issues. They obviously knew what would happen because my lawyer welcomed them at the airport. ”

“I must say that the Immigration Bureau officials very correctly perform their job. They were obviously very interested in my military and police matters from the former Yugoslavia. Most of them are interested in my military service that I served from 1993 and 1994, but I was not involved in combat activities. They asked me if I was involved in the torture of civilians, asking for names of command lines and tactical commander and they asked about my activities in Port ATJ where I joined a few years after the war. They gave me a list of names to be confirmed, but I did it. No one was named because it is still a matter of dignity and principles. I said to myself, if this bid is ready to return home. They could do with me what they wanted, yet they’ll let me fight.”

クロアチア語を英語に直したものを訳したので間違っている箇所も多々あるかもしれませんがそんな舞台裏があったようです。今回の勝利はミルコのこの怒りがあったからかもしれません。

【朝刊MMA】UFC115ダナホワイトがファンからビールを投げつけられる

■UFC115の試合会場でダナに向かってビールを投げつけた輩が…。middleeasyより。

UFC115でカーロスコンディットとカナダ人のロリーマクドナルドが戦い2ラウンドでカーロスが勝った試合で、シールズとネートディアスに向かって観衆の中からビールが投げつけられました。
Following UFC 115’s first main-card bout between welterweights Carlos Condit and Canada’s Rory MacDonald – in which the Canuck was finished in the final seconds of a fight he was winning through two rounds – Shields and Cesar Gracie teammate Nate Diaz were pelted with a beer that was thrown from the crowd.

実際のターゲットは明らかにダナホワイトで、ダナはGMパレスの観衆の助けを借りてビールを投げた者を見つけ出しました。
The primary target of the projectile was apparently none other than White, and the UFC exec said that along with the help of the GM Place crowd, the offending beverage-tosser was quickly addressed.

「マクドナルドが負けた時にオレに向かってビールを投げつけたヤツがいるんだ」
「そんなこと10年間起きなかったことだよ。すぐに彼をつまみ出したよ。彼はオレとディアス、シールズを狙ったんだ。」

とのこと。実際UFCのコメンテーター、ジョーローガンのtwitterによると会場はマリファナの臭いが酷かったようでそんな輩も混じっていたってことなんでしょう。いやダナに向かってなら吸ってなくてもあり得るかも…。

■mmajunkieによるとUFC115でチャックリデルに勝利したリッチフランクリンが左腕を負傷、手術のためにラスベガスに向かったとの事。

■sports.yahoo.comよるとジェイクシールズがUFC115の会場に現れダナホワイトと会談したとの事。結局まだ契約には至っていないようです。

ダナはチャックリデルのキャリアが終わりだと言うがある理由で彼をUFCから切る事ができません。
Dana White has guaranteed that Chuck Liddell’s MMA career is done but for some reason, he’s not able to actually ‘cut’ him from the organization.

ギルバートアイブルとミルコクロコップはミルコが3年前にチークコンゴと闘う際に一緒にトレーニングをした仲です。でも近い将来彼らが対決する可能性があるとしても驚く事じゃありません。
Gilbert Yvel and Mirko Cro Cop have a little bad blood between them and it originated from a training session Cro Cop had with Gilbert as he was preparing to fight Cheick Kongo nearly three years ago. I would not be surprised if Yvel remains on the roster just to fight Cro Cop in the near future.

知っての通り、ジェイクシールズは基本的にはUFCとサインをするでしょう。彼はSTRIKEFORCEからいいオファーを受けてないし、STRIKEFORCEはUFCと入札合戦みたいな事はしないと彼に伝えています。
Jake Shields is essentially signed with UFC, we all know this. He’s not entertaining offers from Strikeforce and the organization has said it will not go into a bidding war with UFC.

FEGの内部で深刻な事態が起こっているようです。それが何かははっきりしませんが、2007に起きた何かが発端のようです。
It looks like some serious internal discontent is going down within FEG (Dream/K-1). Not sure what it is, but it looks to stem back from something that happened in 2007.

There is a slight chance that Bellator may iron out the problems of the regional broadcasts of their events on Fox Sports Net starting on season three.

クロアチアから届いたクロコップの噂は彼は引退する計画でUFCで何かしらの重要な役に就くとの噂です。
Another Cro Cop rumor emerging from Croatia is that he plans on retiring from fighting but still plans to play an active role in the UFC.
