アリスターオーフレイムは2008年にヘビー級に転向した時には規定体重ぎりぎりの軽い体重でした。そして今では試合をする前の日にはおよそ255ポンドになっています。オーフレイムは体重の増加はダイエットときちんとしたトレーニングの賜物だと言います。

“People will always speculate” says Overeem, “I will be tested just like anybody else and like I’ve said before I weighed 235lbs in no time when I did not have to cut weight. Gaining 10lbs a year by lifting weights isn’t a big problem. Before I would cut between 22lbs-26lbs to get to the 205lbs weight limit. It was crazy. Now that I can eat and do not have to cut anymore(with his move to heavyweight division) it was easy to put on the extra muscle weight. 「自分のパフォーマンスには満足していないよ。」GSPはUFC111の試合後の記者会見で言いました。
「技術的な面で徹底出来なかったんだ。細かい技術の面が重要になることがあるんだ。100%出し尽くしたかった。勝つために練習してきた。彼を打ちのめしたかったんだ。」
“I was not that pleased about my performance,” St-Pierre stated at the UFC 111 post-fight press conference. “I forgot the technical element of it. Sometimes those technical details make the difference. I wanted to go 100 percent. I trained to break. I want to finish him.「試合には勝ったよ。でも自分のパフォーマンスを出す事が出来なかった。だから残念なんだ。」
「完璧に勝ちたかった、きれいな勝ち方でね。私はそう言う勝ち方が好きなんだ。でも出来なかった。」

「なんども技術的なミスを犯してしまったんだ。ダンハーディーはグラウンドで技術的に劣っていると思ったんだ。でも彼は思った以上に良かったんだ。」
“It’s a win, but I’m not very happy of myself,” St-Pierre admitted. “I did a lot of stupid technical mistakes. I thought I’d fight him where I thought he was the weakest – on the ground. But he’s a lot better than I thought he was.”「彼はゴムで出来ているのかと思ったよ。」GSPはジョークを言いました。
“I thought he was made of rubber,” St-Pierre joked after the fight.GSPは4ラウンド目にハーディーをアームロックで極める事が出来ました。でもハーディーは痛みに耐え抜け出しました。
The punishment didn’t stop there, as St-Pierre was able to secure a kimura on Hardy in the fourth round. GSP really cranked on the hold, and to the astonishment of the crowd, Hardy withstood the pain and was able to escape it.「私が悪かったのはわかっているんだ。次はそんなことが起きないようにするよ」GSPはアームロックについて言いました。

“I know what I did wrong. It won’t happen next time,” said St-Pierre of his application of the kimura. “At one point, I was like, ‘Man, I think I broke his shoulder,’ and then one time I thought I’d broke his arm when I had the juju-gatame. I heard like ‘click, click.’ It was completely extended.”
