■mmajunkieによるとクロアチアのサイトにミルコが目の負傷を受けUFC119欠場との記事が出たがダナホワイトがtwitterでその噂を否定したとのこと。実際はどうなっているのかはわかりません。

「ダナホワイトは自分に興味を持っていると話してくれて、UFCで戦う前にもう一試合他で戦えと言ってきたよ。今まで活動していなかったから、俺のパフォーマンスを査定したいんだとよ。これはある意味フェアだと思うけど、アンフェアでもあるな。
俺はカムバックしてなんでも出来ると思っているよ。だってオクタゴンで自分が動けるってわかってるから。でもこれが儀式でこれによってUFCが決定するって言うなら、仕方ないよな。
今俺にはいろいろな選択肢があるんだぜ。アブダビからもオファーを受けてるし、世界中の主要な団体からもオファーを受けているんだ。それはすごい事だし、それも悪くないなって思ってる。俺の階級の選手を見ているけど、間違いなく俺が言えることは、ベルトを奪取できるってことだよ。」
“Dana told me that it would be interesting for me to compete in one more fight before competing in the UFC, so that I wouldn’t stay inactive and also so that they could analyze my performance as well. I thought that was fair in one way and not fair in another. For one, I think I can come back with everything because I know what I’m capable of doing inside [the octagon]. But if this is a formality and something determined by the promotion, I see nothing wrong with it. I have lots of options right now, I received calls from Abu Dhabi and also from many other countries that are organizing important promotions and I think that’s great, I see nothing wrong with it. From what I’ve seen in this weight class from the champions, what I have to say is that without a doubt, once I get there I will get the belt”

“It’s always hard for a pro to not know when he’s fighting next,” Silva said. “It’s training, it’s supplements, it’s a bunch of stuff, and I hope to fight as soon as possible. ■ダナホワイトが会見でランペイジジャクソンの次戦の相手をマチダと発言したとの事。ちなみに今年の末に実現するようです。fightlineより。
「リョートのマネージャーのエドと話をしたよ。ここ数日でマチダの対戦相手を決めようってね。多分ランペイジだと思うよ。」ホワイトは記者のマチダの次戦の相手は？と言う問いにこう答えました。
“I was talking to [Lyoto's manager] Ed Soares, I am going to get together with Machida in the next couple of days… maybe ‘Rampage’,” White told press when asked who might be next to face “The Dragon.”

「去年の末からUFCに参戦する機会が欲しいと言ってきたんだ。ようやく会う機会が出来てダナはぜひ参戦してほしいと言ってくれたんだ。彼はオレに機会を与えてくれたよ、あとはオレのマネージャーとの話し合いになるね。それが終わったら契約ってことになると思うよ。」アローナは言いました。

■fanhouseによると青木真也にタイツ問題で記者がメールで質問したとの事。
私は青木選手に彼のタイツがグラップリング技術を上げているのではないのかとDREAM経由でメールで質問しましたが私の質問があまり好ましくなかったような答え(DREAMの広報担当が翻訳してくれたもの)が届きました。
I asked Aoki in an e-mail interview set up by Dream whether his pants aid his grappling skills, and his response (as translated by a Dream PR representative) indicated that he wasn’t too pleased with my question.「タイツはグラップリング技術に関係ないよ」青木選手は答えました。「グラップリングを経験した事がある人はみんなわかっているよ。この質問はプロがする質問じゃないよ」
“It is nothing to do with my grappling skills,” Aoki replied. “Anybody who has experience of grappling should know about this. This questions seems for non professional.”青木選手が私の質問を”プロのする質問じゃない”と思ってもらっても構わないです。でも実際みんなが思っている事なのです。また総合格闘技をしている人で青木選手ほど”足技”に依存している選手はいません。長タイツを履こうが履くまいが彼は足関節のスペシャリストだと思いますが彼がショーツをはいていたら難しい足関節技もあるのではないでしょうか。
Aoki is free to call my question “non professional” all he wants, but the fact remains that it’s a common question — those pants provide traction, and there’s no one in MMA who relies on getting a strong grip with his legs more than Aoki does. 翻訳された記事だったから青木選手にどう伝わったかわかりませんけど結構この記者さん質問がプロじゃないと言われた事に根にもっているようです。メールはどんなにちゃんと書いても伝わりにくい部分もあるので気をつけたいですね。
