この大会が最後になるのか、まだ存続するのか？カード自体は面白そうですね。

■10月9日に行われるNick Diaz vs. KJ Noons のプロモ動画

ニックディアスとメイヘムミラーの試合は10月9日に行われるように標準をあわしている。メイヘムはニックとキャッチウェイトで闘いたいと希望しているが、ニックはウェルター級以外では闘いたくないと言っている。これを聞いたメイヘムは”ビビってるんじゃないぞ”というTシャツを作って、ニックをキャッチウェイトの試合に引っ張りだそうとしています。
A fight between Nick Diaz and Mayhem Miller is being targeted for October 9th. Mayhem is willing to meet Nick Diaz at a catchweight, however Nick Diaz has refused to fight in any other division other than welterweight. Upon hearing this, Mayhem made his ‘Don’t be scared homie’ shirt in order to entice Nick to a catchweight bout.

もしニックディアスとメイヘムの試合が実現しなかったら、STRIKEFORCEはポールデイリー、サイボーグ、KJヌーンをメイヘムの代わりに出そうと思っています。
If the Nick Diaz vs. Mayhem Miller bout doesn’t pan out, Strikeforce is looking at Paul Daley, Cyborg Santos or KJ Noons to replace Mayhem Miller.

セームシュルトがUFCに戻ってくると言う噂は本当のようです。ZUFFAがPRIDEを買収した時に、PRIDEの契約下にあった選手全員に少なくとも1試合UFCかWECで試合をさせる義務がありました。この条項はPRIDEとZUFFAが裁判沙汰になったとき明らかになりました。
Apparently the rumor that Semmy Schilt may return the UFC may stand true. With ZUFFA’s purchase of Pride FC, the organization is obligated to provide all fighters that were still under contract with Pride FC at least one fight in UFC/WEC. The stipulations of this can be found in the Pride FC vs. ZUFFA lawsuit if anyone feels like digging through hundreds of pages of fine print.

Dynamite!! 2009青木戦で怪我をした廣田の復帰のめどはたっていません。今年中の復帰はなさそうです。
Mizuto Hirota’s recovery from his Dynamite!! 2009 fight with Shinya Aoki isn’t going as planned. It looks like he will be out for the remainder of the year.

Strikeforce Houstonの大会の前、ボビーラシュレイは次に試合、バティスタと闘う契約をしました。もしかしたら10月よりも早く行われるかもしれません。
Before Strikeforce Houston, Bobby Lashley agreed to fight Dave Bautista under the condition that it was his next fight. Would not be surprised if it happened as early as October.

スゴい噂ですが、キンボスライスは205ポンドに落としてUFCで闘う事を話し合っています。つまりライトヘビー級で戻ってくると言う事です。
Heavy rumor, but it appears that Kimbo Slice has agreed to cut to 205lbs and has talked with UFC in regards to returning to the organization at light heavyweight.

STRIKEFORCEのロゴが数ヶ月中にかわるようです。
Strikeforce’s new logo is part of an overhaul in branding suggested by one of their business partners they recently picked up in 2010. Expect a lot of merchandise to appear in the next few months with this new logo.

UFC115でカーロスコンディットとカナダ人のロリーマクドナルドが戦い2ラウンドでカーロスが勝った試合で、シールズとネートディアスに向かって観衆の中からビールが投げつけられました。
Following UFC 115’s first main-card bout between welterweights Carlos Condit and Canada’s Rory MacDonald – in which the Canuck was finished in the final seconds of a fight he was winning through two rounds – Shields and Cesar Gracie teammate Nate Diaz were pelted with a beer that was thrown from the crowd.

実際のターゲットは明らかにダナホワイトで、ダナはGMパレスの観衆の助けを借りてビールを投げた者を見つけ出しました。
The primary target of the projectile was apparently none other than White, and the UFC exec said that along with the help of the GM Place crowd, the offending beverage-tosser was quickly addressed.

とのこと。実際UFCのコメンテーター、ジョーローガンのtwitterによると会場はマリファナの臭いが酷かったようでそんな輩も混じっていたってことなんでしょう。いやダナに向かってなら吸ってなくてもあり得るかも…。

■mmajunkieによるとUFC115でチャックリデルに勝利したリッチフランクリンが左腕を負傷、手術のためにラスベガスに向かったとの事。

■sports.yahoo.comよるとジェイクシールズがUFC115の会場に現れダナホワイトと会談したとの事。結局まだ契約には至っていないようです。

ダナはチャックリデルのキャリアが終わりだと言うがある理由で彼をUFCから切る事ができません。
Dana White has guaranteed that Chuck Liddell’s MMA career is done but for some reason, he’s not able to actually ‘cut’ him from the organization.

ギルバートアイブルとミルコクロコップはミルコが3年前にチークコンゴと闘う際に一緒にトレーニングをした仲です。でも近い将来彼らが対決する可能性があるとしても驚く事じゃありません。
Gilbert Yvel and Mirko Cro Cop have a little bad blood between them and it originated from a training session Cro Cop had with Gilbert as he was preparing to fight Cheick Kongo nearly three years ago. I would not be surprised if Yvel remains on the roster just to fight Cro Cop in the near future.

知っての通り、ジェイクシールズは基本的にはUFCとサインをするでしょう。彼はSTRIKEFORCEからいいオファーを受けてないし、STRIKEFORCEはUFCと入札合戦みたいな事はしないと彼に伝えています。
Jake Shields is essentially signed with UFC, we all know this. He’s not entertaining offers from Strikeforce and the organization has said it will not go into a bidding war with UFC.

It looks like some serious internal discontent is going down within FEG (Dream/K-1). Not sure what it is, but it looks to stem back from something that happened in 2007.

予想されていたとおり、STRIKEFORCEは6月16日にLAのノキアシアターで大会を行うことを公式に発表しました。この大会には3人のスーパースターが参戦するが確定していましたが今日の記者発表があるまでメイヘムミラーは不参加と思われていました。
As expected, Strikeforce has officially announced their June 16th event for the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles, California. Although three superstars were confirmed to participate in the show, Jason “Mayhem” Miller was auspiciously left off today’s press release.

TNAの元プロレスラーボビーラシュレー、KJヌーン、ロビーローラー、スコットコーカーが以前から発言していた選手に加えナッシュビル大会で乱闘を起こしたメイヘムも大会に参加することになりました。

5月29日に行われるDREAMライトヘビー級はキャンセルになりそうだ。選手の代理人は水曜日にそう告げられた。その理由は今調査中。
The Dream light heavyweight grand prix set for May 29 has been cancelled. Fighter reps were told Wednesday. Still working on the reason.

国内でケージ論争をしている間にライトヘビー級はキャンセル？
信用問題になりかねないですね。ケージで世界に挑戦以前に選手がもうやってこないかも…。

ジェイクシールズとSTRIKEFORCEの契約が一度切れ、ダナホワイトはGSPとジェイクシールズとの試合を夏に計画しているようです。GSPの次の試合の相手はジョシュコシュチェックとポールディリーの勝者になる模様です。もしこの試合でGSPが敗れるような事があってもジェイクシールズと戦う模様です。
Once Jake Shields’ contract ends with Strikeforce, Dana White plans to have Georges St. Pierre vs. Jake Shields sometime this summer. This will be GSP’s second bout of 2010 with his third bout going down with the winner of Josh Koscheck/Paul Daley, regardless of whether St. Pierre loses to Shields.

驚くべき事にFEGはDREAM14でケージを使う事でライバル視しているアメリカンMMAに対抗しようとしているわけではないようです。DREAM14ではPRIDEルールの元、サッカーキックあり、踏みつけ有りなどの暴力的なルールを採用するようです。
The surprise that FEG has for Dream 14 that will ‘rival American MMA’ is not the aspect of a cage. They already tried that at Dream 12 and it received mixed reviews. The real shocker is that Dream 14 will be under Pride rules which means soccer kicks, head stomps and all that other (dangerous) good stuff.

EliteXCがオーナーが変わってから初めて今年の年末に開催されるとのことです。
ProElite Inc. (EliteXC, Cage Rage) plans to hold their first event after the buy-out by the end of this year.

ジャカレイとメイヘムの再戦がDREAM15で実現する予定です。
A rematch between Jacare vs. Mayhem will be held at Dream 15.

キングモーの最初の防衛戦の相手はスタニスラブネドコフになる模様です。ネドコフは戦極とまだ2試合の契約が残っていますがSTRIKEFORCEが緩やかな協力関係にある戦極から買い取るとのこと。
King Mo vs. Stanislav Nedkov is in the works to be Mo’s first title defense. Nedkov still has two fights left on his Sengoku contract so Strikeforce is either looking to buy out his contract or do a minor ‘co-promotion’ with Sengoku.

ということで重大発表とはケージではなくPRIDEルールの採用？？

■ダナホワイトが先日行われたSTRIKEFORCE大会のメイヘムミラーの乱入について語ったようです。5throundより。

「誰がメイヘムをケージに入れたと思う？彼はあの場面に関係なかったよ。俺がどう思っているかわかる？」
ホワイトは司会者に尋ね陰謀論を語りました。
「メイヘムはそうじゃないと言うだろうけど、STRIKEFORCEが彼をケージに上げてあんな行為をさせたと思うんだ。ジェイクシールズと新たな契約を結ばせるためにね。」
“Who let Mayhem Miller in there? He has no business being in there. You know what I believe?,” White asked host Jim Rome while putting on his Conspiracy Theorist hat. “Mayhem is saying that he didn’t, but I think Strikeforce let him in the cage to go in there and do that. These guys let Jake Shields’ contract run out.
