コスチェックはツイートしました。

「いいやしないよ。」コスチェックは次の試合で安全策を取るのかと聞かれ答えました。

「GSPをノックアウトするよ。退屈な試合はしないつもりだよ。GSPはゲームプランを練って保守的で安全な策で闘ってくるタイプの選手だよ。オレはなりふり構わず闘って彼をノックアウトするよ」
“No,” Koscheck told MMA30 when asked if he would play it safe against “Rush.” “I’m going out there to knock him out. I’m not going out there just to win a boring fight. He may be the type of fighter that comes in with a good game plan and fights conservatively and safe. I’m going out a reckless abandon and I’m coming to knock him out.”

「8ヶ月で8試合も試合をしたんだ。」オーフレイムは言いました。
「もう限界だよ、わかるだろ。だから休みを取って体を休める必要があったんだ。アメリカから帰ってきて、マネージャーから「次のDREAMで試合があるお前を必要にしているんだ」って言われたけど疲れていたし、休養が必要だったんだ。ただ気をかえてキャンプに戻ったのはタイトルマッチがあるということ理由からだったんだ。その機会を逃したくなと思ったしね。」
“I did eight fights in eight months,” Overeem said. “There’s a max, you know. So I needed to take time off and let my body recover, and what happened was, I’d just got back from the states and my management already told me, ‘Yeah, you have a fight coming up in Dream.15, they want you.’ I told them, I’m tired. I need a holiday. The only reason for me to recharge and go back into training camp is if it’s for the title. That’s an opportunity I don’t want to go to waste.「その二日後、マネージャーは試合をすることに同意した。それはアンドレイオルロフスキーとのタイトルマッチがあるからだったんだ。その時は本当にモチベーションは上がっていたよ。自分のチームやスパーリングパートナーを招集したしね。でもその2週間後アンドレイが怪我をして試合ができないって話が入ってきた。」
“A couple days later my management confirmed the fight, it was going to be for the title, against Andrei Arlovski. Well, what happened then was I was totally motivated, got my team back together, my sparring partners, got back into camp, and then after two week I heard that Andrei Arlovski is injured, he’s not fighting.”オーフレイムは何人も対戦相手が変わったと言いました。その中には元UFC王者、ティムシルビアも含まれていました。そして彼は試合がタイトルマッチになるだろうと楽観視していました。
Overeem said a number of replacement fighters were mentioned, including former UFC heavyweight champ Tim Sylvia, and he was assured that the fight would still be for a title.「オレは何回もその試合はタイトルマッチだよなって尋ねたんだ。マネージャーはイエスと言うからタイトルマッチってことは変わらないと思っていた。だからトレーニングを続けていたんだ。トレーニングを開始して2週間半たったころ、オレはマネージャーに呼ばれてリコロドリゲスと対戦する事が決まってタイトルマッチは無くなったと言われたんだ。その時もう試合をやる気が失せたんだ。その時まだヒョードルの試合を見る事が出来たからアメリカに飛んでヒョードルが試合に勝ったら挑戦しようと思ってたんだ。だからその時、試合をキャンセルすることにしたんだ。」
“I asked on several occasions, is this for the title and is it confirmed? My management said yes, it’s for the title and it’s confirmed. So I kept training. Two and a half weeks into training…my management called me and told it’s going to be Ricco Rodriguez and it will not be for the title. Then my motivation just totally was lost. I could still make it to see the Fedor fight, so I said, yeah, I’m going to go to the states and I’m going to challenge Fedor, the winner of the fight between Fedor and Fabricio Werdum. I cancelled the fight then and there.”それから数週間後、DREAMがまだオーフレイムが大会に出るとプロモーションをしているのを知りました。そしてロドリゲスはすでに日本に向けて出発していてDREAM15でオーフレイムと試合をするつもりでいました。
Only several weeks later did he learn that Dream was still promoting his appearance as part of the event, and that Rodriguez had already left for Japan under the assumption that he’d be facing Overeem at Dream.15.「ちょっと待ってくれよ、試合はキャンセルしたはずだぜって言いたかったよ」オーフレイムは言いました。
「オレが試合に欠場するってプレスリリースを出してほしかったよ。ファン、リコ、皆に知らせてほしかった、自分は闘わないってことを。普通、そうするだろ？オレはそう思うよ。」
“I was like, wait a minute, I cancelled the fight,” Overeem said. “Let’s put out a press release so that everybody knows I’m not fighting. For the fans, for Ricco, for anybody that shows up, I’m not going to be there. …It’s the proper thing to do, I think.”オーフレイムは次の試合に関しては何も決めていません。でもK-1に興味があって秋には復帰するかもしれないとほのめかしました。
Overeem also said that he’s “undecided” about where his next fight will take place, but hinted that he may be interested in returning to K-1 this fall.「今年の後半にかけてK-1GPが開催されるんだけど自分は16人に選ばれる資格は持っているんだ。まだ決まった事ではないんだ。でも闘いたいと思っている。K-1は立ち技でオレも好きだよ。観客の層も少し違うしね。オランダでも大人気なんだ。だからK-1のチャンピオンになりたんだ。自分はチャンピオンに相応しい人間だと思っているよ。」
“You also have the K-1 Final Grand Prix at the end of the year. …I have qualified for the final 16. I’m not entirely sure if I’m going to compete, but I would like to compete. K-1 is striking, I like it, it has a little bit different audience. It’s very popular in Holland. So yeah, I want to become champion. I see myself as champion.”オーフレイムはMMAとK-1のどちらを優先するか明らかにしませんでした。しかし彼の夢はK-1のチャンピオンとMMAのチャンピオン同時になることだと言いました。
Overeem reiterated that he’s not sure if K-1 will take precedence over his MMA career, but said his dream is to become a K-1 champion as well as an MMA champ.「そうなったら伝説になるだろ。まだ誰も成し遂げてない事だよ」

「DREAM15でオレが闘うって言う噂を色々と聞いているよ。色々な憶測が飛んでいるけど自分が思ったようにしたいと思うんだ。」
“I have heard numerous rumors about me fighting at Dream on July 10. I want to give my side of the story before speculation arises:「5月15日にブレットロジャースと闘ってから、暫く休みを取ろうと決めたんだ、あとはメディアに顔を出していこうと思ってね。カナダでのMMAエキスポ、E3エキスポ、STRIKEFORCEのイベントに出たよ。あとは家族と一緒に過ごす時間を作ろうと思うよ。DREAMがオレを必要としている事は知っているよ、でも練習漬けの生活はいまのところ勘弁だよ。彼らはアンドレイオルロフスキーとのヘビー級王者決定戦をオファーしてきた。その時はベルトを取る事に意味があると思っていたから、メディアに出る事や休日のプランを返上して闘う事に決めたんだ。そしてトレーニングに戻ったんだ。」
“After my Brett Rogers fight on May 15, I decided to take time off and do media appearances — MMA expo in Canada, E3 expo, Strikeforce events — and enjoy some time off with my family. I knew Dream wanted me on the show, but I didn’t want to go back in training preparation. Then, they offered me a fight against Andrei Arlovski for the Dream heavyweight title. As I have said on occasions, fighting for a belt means something more, and I wanted that Dream title so much that So as a result, I agreed to lay off my media and holiday plans, and went back to training.「練習中にアンドレイが自分の対戦相手ではない事を知ったんだ。そして彼らは何度も対戦相手を変えてきた。ティムシルビアや美濃輪なんて名前も聞いたよ。そして彼らは対戦相手は見つけてきたけどタイトル戦は今回は無いと言ってきたんだ。対戦相手は変更だ、タイトル戦もない。もうオレは試合を断らなきゃならなかった。」
“During my training I found out that Andrei Arlovski was not going to be my opponent, and they changed opponents numerous times. I’ve heard names like Tim Sylvia and Minowa. At one point, I received notice that they had found a opponent but that the Dream heavyweight title was not on the line anymore. With all the changes and the title fight no longer a possibility, I simply had to turn down the opportunity.「次の日、サンホセ行きの飛行機に乗って次対戦するかもしれないヒョードルとヴェウドゥムの試合を見に行った。そのときDREAMはリコロドリゲスを対戦相手に上げてきたと言う噂を聞いたんだ。ここではっきりさせておきたいけど彼と闘うと口約束は決してしていないし契約にサインもしていないんだ。リコのキャンプがまだ自分と闘うと思っていたら本当に申し訳ないと思うよ。そしてオレの戦いを見るためにチケットを購入したファンに謝りたい。この発言が不幸な状況に光を差すことになってほしいよ。」
“The next day, I immediately took a flight to San Jose to hype up my possible fight against the winner of Fedor Emelianenko or Fabricio Werdum. I then heard rumors that Dream had booked me in a fight against Ricco Rodriguez. I want to make it very clear that I never verbally agreed to fight him and I never signed a contract with Dream to fight him. I feel very sorry for Ricco Rodriguez’s camp if they still think the fight is on, and I apologize to my fans that have bought a ticket to see me compete. I hope this statement has shed some light on the unfortunate situation.”
