【朝刊MMA】ヒョードル陣営UFCとの話し合いを表明/キングモーの今後は
■アフリクション中止を受けたこの話の流れ、今ヒョードルたちはアメリカにやってきているのでいろいろな交渉が行われるようです。bloodyelbowより。
「私たちは今アメリカにいます。数日以内にヒョードルの次戦を決めたいと思います。」ワジム・フェルケンシュテインは答えました。
「沢山のビジネスミーティングがあって全てのプロモーションと交渉する予定です。ヒョードルとバーネットの試合ができる可能性があるか検討してみてできるだけ8月に開催出来るか調べたいと思います」
“We are now with Fedor in the U.S. and we hope to make a decision about his next fight within the next few days,” Finkelchtein stated. “There are many business meetings and negotiations planned with all the major promotions. We will explore the possibility of Fedor fighting Barnett and will even look into whether the fight can take place as soon as August (since Barnett has not been suspended).”フェルケンシュテインはアフリクションの中止によってヒョードルがUFCに参戦に関する交渉の機会があると信じています。
Finkelchtein also believes that the cancellation of “Trilogy” could be used as an opportunity to jump start stagnant negotiations to bring Fedor to the UFC.「この機会にUFCと話合いができます。ヒョードルと私は今アメリカにいます。もし彼らが来てくれるなら、交渉する準備があります。もちろん彼らが提案することをすべて受け入れると言う意味ではありません。私たちはUFCとヒョードルとUFCファイターが闘う事に関して話をしたいと思います。でもそれはM-1グローバルと共同開催すると言う枠組みの中での事です。」
“This is the moment of truth that the UFC has talked about. Fedor and I are here in the States. If they want to come out and fly here, we are ready to conduct negotiations. Of course it still doesn’t imply we are ready to accept any conditions they’ll throw at us. We want to talk to the UFC about having Fedor compete against some of their fighters, but only within the framework of co-promotional efforts with M-1 Global.”
とのこと。
結局共同開催なんてほぼなさそうなのでヒョードルの参戦はありそうもないのですが、最後は結局お金の問題で解決してしまう気もしないでもないです。なんと言っても絶好調ですからUFC。

■ランペイジとキングモーが車内で口論？になっているようですが内容はわかりません。mmaconvertによるとキングモーが遅くとも来年にはUFCに参戦するのでは無いかと書かれていますが実際のところはまだ推測でしかないと思います。
mmaconvertにはランペイジがモーについて語っている文章が載っていますが、文章がスラングなのか訳す事ができません…すいません。

■アフリクションがMMA興行から撤退を表明した事でいろいろな事が起きているようです。

“It’s like a funeral.”Xtreme Coutureの柔術コーチ、ネイルメランソンはアフリクションの中止が決まったあとのジムの様子を語りました。
That’s how Xtreme Couture head jiu-jitsu coach Neil Melanson summarized the gym’s feeling after Friday morning’s announcement of the cancellation of the Aug. 1 Affliction “Trilogy” show, and later, the shuttering of the promotional arm of the company.「みんなトレーニングに来ているけど、みんな無口だよ…」
“Everybody’s shown up to the gym, not all of them are training, but they’re there and they’re just… they’re all speechless.”アフリクションの大会中止のニュースは金曜日の朝に届きました。
News of the cancellation traveled quickly Friday morning that the promotion was closing down the event due to its inability to find a suitable replacement for main event fighter Josh Barnett, who allegedly tested positive for an anabolic steroid earlier in the week.(中略)
メランソンは前回のアフリクションを怪我と病気で欠場したクリスホロデスキーとマークホーミックをとても不憫に感じました。
Melanson felt especially bad for the Canadian contingent of Chris Horodecki and Mark Hominick, both missed the last Affliction event due to injury and illness.「ショーントンプキンスのチームの彼らはとっても良いヤツだよ。そして練習も一生懸命にやっていたし四六時中ジムにいたよ。試合に勝つ為にね」メランソンは語りました。
「この試合が次のステップアップになると彼らは信じていたよ」
“You know, (Shawn) Tompkins’ guys, they’re all really nice guys and they worked really hard and were in the gym all the time (and) they were ready to win,” he said. “They wanted these fights to help them get to the next level.「こんな突然の通知で試合が中止なんて…つらいよね」
“To have the card pulled from them like this, on this short notice… it’s tough.”前座試合からバーネットの代わりにメインイベントにでる可能性もあったヴィトベイフォードは結局１週間ジェットコースターに乗ってイベントのキャンセルによって突然おろされたような状況でした。
For Vitor Belfort, the eventual cancellation of the event capped off a rollercoaster ride of a week that saw him go from the undercard to a possible replacement for Barnett in the evening’s main event.「彼と一緒にトレーニングもやったしランチも食べたホント一日中一緒にいたよ。彼は子供の写真を見せてくれて”今は子供たちと妻と離れてとっても寂しいよ”って言ってたけど、こんな事になって本当に悔しいよね」とメランソンは語りました。
“I trained him closely, had lunch with him and would be with him every day; he would look at pictures of his kids at lunch and would say, ‘It’s so hard to be away from my kids and my wife right now,’ and was just really upset,” related Melanson.(中略)
「私はアフリクション関係者じゃないからアフリクションの判断には納得いかないよ。彼らにもキャンセルする正統な理由はあったと思うけど彼らは多くの人たちを傷つけたんだよ」メランソンは語りました。
“I don’t want to judge (Affliction), because I’m not them, they might have a damn good reason (for cancelling the show), but they definitely hurt and affected a lot of people,” stated Melanson.「試合に出るはずだった選手が気の毒に思うよ。彼らはなんにも悪くないし彼らは一生懸命トレーニングをしていたしアフリクションを信じていたよ。でもアフリクションは彼らを見捨てたんだ。」
“I feel bad for all these (fighters). They did nothing wrong – they trained their asses off and trusted their company, and their company took a dump on them.”(中略)
「アフリクションには彼らにギャラを払ってほしいよ」メランソンは語りました。
「アフリクションは試合給を払うという契約を結んでいたけど、試合自体がなくなったのでそれもなくなってしまった」
“I sure hope they pay these guys,” said Melanson. “They’ve got to have some kind of contract agreement to pay these guys, but it’s still not the same.”
ちょっと省略していますがだいたいこんな感じの意味です。
バーネットが本当に黒かどうかは今の段階ではわかりませんが本当に多くの人に迷惑をかけていますね。
アフリクションもペイパーヴューを行うはずだったshowtimeからの圧力もあったようですし、showtimeもヒョードルvsジョシュ戦の中止でペイパーヴューで赤字になると言う事でアフリクションに圧力をかけたのでしょうし。負のスパイラルに陥りましたね…。
このように一人の行いでみんなに迷惑をかけてしまうと言う事は実生活でもある事だと思います。皆さんもこれを教訓にして自分の行いには責任を持ちましょう!もちろん自分への戒めでもありますが。
■アフリクションがMMA興行から撤退した本当の理由が載っていました。mmanewsより。
大会がキャンセルされた根本的な理由はペイパーヴューを行う会社との法律上の理由があったようです。
週の初めにジョシュバーネットの陽性反応による出場停止が決まってアフリクションにはペイパーヴューで放送する代替え用のプロモやコマーシャルを用意する時間がありませんでした。
the basic reason why the show was cancelled was due to a legal issue with Pay Per View providers. Following Josh Barnett’s positive steroid test that was announced by the CSAC earlier in the week, Affliction would not have had enough time to change the promo spots and commercials that PPV providers were running.
ちょっと詳細はつかめない記事でしたがプロモも出来ないのにペイパーヴューを買ってくれるか！！っていう理由なんでしょうね、きっと。

■アフリクションとUFCの関係修復のニュースが続々と出て来ています。もう正式に関係者は発言した模様です。mmajunkieより。
「アフリクションが戻って来てくれた事に凄くエキサイトしているよ。多分次のUFC101でアフリクションのTシャツを着て選手がオクタゴンに入場してくる光景を見る事が出来ると思うよ」ダナホワイトは語りました。
「アフリクションはMMAとファッションを融合させた先駆者だよ。またMMAを一緒に盛り上げる事が出来ると思うとうれしいよ」
“We are excited about the return of Affliction to the UFC and look forward to seeing our fighters once again walk into the octagon wearing the Affliction brands,” UFC president Dana White stated. “Affliction is an innovator of mixing fashion with this sport, and we are looking forward to working together to promote the sport.”
ダナは本当に凄いですね、仲悪いと思ったらこんな発言が出来てしまうんですから。猪木なみの器の大きさです。見習わないと。
で一方のアフリクションサイドはこう申しています。
「私たちのブランドは”LIVE FAST”と同義語でUFCは私たちのブランドを広めるうってつけの場所です」アフリクションのエリックフォスは語りました。
「私たちはUFCと契約することで同意に至りました。私たちはMMAが良い方向に向かうよう、またUFCが良い試合をファンに届けられるようサポートして行きたいと思います。」
“Our brand is synonymous with the ‘Live Fast’ approach to life, and UFC is the perfect venue for us to market our brand,” Affliction co-founder Eric Foss stated. “We have come to an agreement with the UFC, which we feel will be the best for the sport and will help the UFC continue delivering the highest caliber of fights.”
とのこと。
“LIVE FAST”の意味が分かんないですが多分ライブ感のある生き方って感じですかね？
■この話と前後してしまいますが今日のラジオ出演のあとダナがいろいろと語ったようです。
「俺たちは今いろいろと計画している途中なんだ」それが何かとは言いませんでしたがダナは言いました。
「それはとんでもなくクレージーなことなんだぜ」
“We’re working on some big things,” White said without going into specifics. “It’s going to be a lot of crazy things. … There will be a laundry list of things addressed.”
7月31日に会見があるそうです。期待しましょう!!
■ダナがティトの復帰は多分あるだろうとラジオで発言。
■そしてヒョードルはとりあえずLAに向かっているそうです。何かが起きる？何も起こらない？？
