コーカーはUFCがムサシVSババル戦を妨害しようとしているという噂を払拭した。噂では、UFCはSTRIKEFORCEに対してこの戦いの差し止めを文章で送ったとの事。コーカーはそのようなものを受け取った事を否定し、スケジュール通りに開催されると確信していた。
Coker also dispelled rumors floating around that the UFC may prevent the Mousasi-Babalu fight from happening. As rumor has it, the UFC sent Strikeforce a cease and desist in regards to the fight. Coker didn’t deny they received the C&D, but he was confident it would take place as scheduled.

ババルとムサシの戦いはSTRIKEFORCEでも契約したがアフリクションでも契約したカードでその権利は現在ZUFFAとZUFFAの弁護団が持っている。UFCがムサシとババルの試合を中止しようとしているか私は確認出来ないが、それが本当なら良い事じゃない。
アフリクション3が中止になったことはもうMMAファンに広く知れ渡った事であり、ムサシ戦もヒョードル戦ももう中止になったのだから。
While Babalu and Mousasi both have contracts with Strikeforce, they also have contracts with Affliction … contracts which could now be owned by Zuffa and it’s gang of lawyers. I’m not sure what angle the UFC is trying to use to try and fuck with the Babalu / Mousasi fight, but I don’t like it. Affliction Trilogy being cancelled was already a kick in the balls to MMA fans, and losing Babs / Mous over some Fedor related interpromotional pissing match would suck balls.

最後の方の訳に関してはちょっと適当な訳になっています…。アメリカ社会は契約に基づいて粛々とやって行くところがありますね、まあ最近じゃ日本でもそうですが。こういうときにさらっとOKだすとカッコいいんですけど世の中しがらみがありますしね…

ファンハウスが交渉をしている近い筋から聞いたところによるとUFCは３試合契約で少なくとも1試合あたり200万ドルでオファーを出しているとの事でした。
FanHouse has learned from a source close to the negotiations, who wished to remain anonymous, that the UFC offered Emelianenko a three-fight contract with a guarantee of less than $2 million per fight.

またその人が言うにはすぐにレスナーとタイトル戦を行うと言う条件も含まれていると言いました。
The source did confirm that Emelianenko was offered an immediate title shot against current UFC heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar.

Total MMAのジョナサンスノーデンが交渉について語ったところによるとヒョードルはUFCにいる間に3000万ドル以上稼ぐことが可能性もあるが、それは保証はされていないと言う事でした。
As Jonathan Snowden, the author of ‘Total MMA: Inside Ultimate Fighting,’ who also spoke to someone with knowledge of the negotiations, pointed out, it is possible that Emelianenko could make up to or even more than $30 million during his UFC run, but that amount wasn’t guaranteed up front.

ヒョードルとM-1のワジム氏はUFCと交渉をしていると言う事以外には、ヒョードルの次の試合に関しての決定的なニュースはありませんでした。

THQ社から発売されている大人気ゲームUFC Undisputedに対抗して作られるEA社のMMAビデオゲームにヒョードルが出ると言う事が公式に発表されました。このゲームにはムサシとババルも出る事になります。

LAタイムズはUFCとヒョードルがオクタゴンで闘う最終決定をしたと伝えました。
The Los Angeles Times is reporting that the Ultimate Fighting Championship and Fedor Emelianenko are finalizing a deal that would bring the heavyweight champion of mixed martial arts into the Octagon and would represent the most significant free agent signing in the history of MMA.

ちょっと情報筋も怪しいようですが詳しい事は時間がないので調べて掲載します。

■アフリクション中止で試合も中止になってしまったヒョードルですが8月1日に記者会見を行うそうです。mmamaniaより。

でももう選択肢もなくなりつつあるのでヒョードルにはUFCに出てほしいですね。日本に来てもあまり相手がいないし、ノゲイラ、ミルコというライバルがいてこそ光っていたヒョードルなのでヘビー級から軽量級にシフトしつつある日本では思ったようには光れないでしょう！

実際の論争が本当かどうか以前にランペイジの英語がスラングなのかなにを言っているのか全く分からなかったのですがやっとどういう内容か把握することができました。。。
確かにキングモーの名前をtwitter上で海外の人が語っているのはあまり見た事がないのですがここ数日目にする事が多くなったので名前を広めると言う事に関しては成功したと言えるでしょう。あとは実力がともなえばUFCでも使ってもらえるのではないかと思います。

フェルケンシュテインはアフリクションの中止によってヒョードルがUFCに参戦に関する交渉の機会があると信じています。
Finkelchtein also believes that the cancellation of “Trilogy” could be used as an opportunity to jump start stagnant negotiations to bring Fedor to the UFC.

結局共同開催なんてほぼなさそうなのでヒョードルの参戦はありそうもないのですが、最後は結局お金の問題で解決してしまう気もしないでもないです。なんと言っても絶好調ですからUFC。

Xtreme Coutureの柔術コーチ、ネイルメランソンはアフリクションの中止が決まったあとのジムの様子を語りました。
That’s how Xtreme Couture head jiu-jitsu coach Neil Melanson summarized the gym’s feeling after Friday morning’s announcement of the cancellation of the Aug. 1 Affliction “Trilogy” show, and later, the shuttering of the promotional arm of the company.

「みんなトレーニングに来ているけど、みんな無口だよ…」
“Everybody’s shown up to the gym, not all of them are training, but they’re there and they’re just… they’re all speechless.”

アフリクションの大会中止のニュースは金曜日の朝に届きました。
News of the cancellation traveled quickly Friday morning that the promotion was closing down the event due to its inability to find a suitable replacement for main event fighter Josh Barnett, who allegedly tested positive for an anabolic steroid earlier in the week.

メランソンは前回のアフリクションを怪我と病気で欠場したクリスホロデスキーとマークホーミックをとても不憫に感じました。
Melanson felt especially bad for the Canadian contingent of Chris Horodecki and Mark Hominick, both missed the last Affliction event due to injury and illness.

「ショーントンプキンスのチームの彼らはとっても良いヤツだよ。そして練習も一生懸命にやっていたし四六時中ジムにいたよ。試合に勝つ為にね」メランソンは語りました。

前座試合からバーネットの代わりにメインイベントにでる可能性もあったヴィトベイフォードは結局１週間ジェットコースターに乗ってイベントのキャンセルによって突然おろされたような状況でした。
For Vitor Belfort, the eventual cancellation of the event capped off a rollercoaster ride of a week that saw him go from the undercard to a possible replacement for Barnett in the evening’s main event.

「彼と一緒にトレーニングもやったしランチも食べたホント一日中一緒にいたよ。彼は子供の写真を見せてくれて”今は子供たちと妻と離れてとっても寂しいよ”って言ってたけど、こんな事になって本当に悔しいよね」とメランソンは語りました。
“I trained him closely, had lunch with him and would be with him every day; he would look at pictures of his kids at lunch and would say, ‘It’s so hard to be away from my kids and my wife right now,’ and was just really upset,” related Melanson.

「私はアフリクション関係者じゃないからアフリクションの判断には納得いかないよ。彼らにもキャンセルする正統な理由はあったと思うけど彼らは多くの人たちを傷つけたんだよ」メランソンは語りました。
“I don’t want to judge (Affliction), because I’m not them, they might have a damn good reason (for cancelling the show), but they definitely hurt and affected a lot of people,” stated Melanson.

「試合に出るはずだった選手が気の毒に思うよ。彼らはなんにも悪くないし彼らは一生懸命トレーニングをしていたしアフリクションを信じていたよ。でもアフリクションは彼らを見捨てたんだ。」
“I feel bad for all these (fighters). They did nothing wrong – they trained their asses off and trusted their company, and their company took a dump on them.”

「アフリクションには彼らにギャラを払ってほしいよ」メランソンは語りました。
「アフリクションは試合給を払うという契約を結んでいたけど、試合自体がなくなったのでそれもなくなってしまった」
“I sure hope they pay these guys,” said Melanson. “They’ve got to have some kind of contract agreement to pay these guys, but it’s still not the same.”

ちょっと省略していますがだいたいこんな感じの意味です。
バーネットが本当に黒かどうかは今の段階ではわかりませんが本当に多くの人に迷惑をかけていますね。
アフリクションもペイパーヴューを行うはずだったshowtimeからの圧力もあったようですし、showtimeもヒョードルvsジョシュ戦の中止でペイパーヴューで赤字になると言う事でアフリクションに圧力をかけたのでしょうし。負のスパイラルに陥りましたね…。
このように一人の行いでみんなに迷惑をかけてしまうと言う事は実生活でもある事だと思います。皆さんもこれを教訓にして自分の行いには責任を持ちましょう!もちろん自分への戒めでもありますが。

■アフリクションがMMA興行から撤退した本当の理由が載っていました。mmanewsより。

大会がキャンセルされた根本的な理由はペイパーヴューを行う会社との法律上の理由があったようです。
週の初めにジョシュバーネットの陽性反応による出場停止が決まってアフリクションにはペイパーヴューで放送する代替え用のプロモやコマーシャルを用意する時間がありませんでした。
the basic reason why the show was cancelled was due to a legal issue with Pay Per View providers. Following Josh Barnett’s positive steroid test that was announced by the CSAC earlier in the week, Affliction would not have had enough time to change the promo spots and commercials that PPV providers were running.

ちょっと詳細はつかめない記事でしたがプロモも出来ないのにペイパーヴューを買ってくれるか！！っていう理由なんでしょうね、きっと。

「アフリクションが戻って来てくれた事に凄くエキサイトしているよ。多分次のUFC101でアフリクションのTシャツを着て選手がオクタゴンに入場してくる光景を見る事が出来ると思うよ」ダナホワイトは語りました。
「アフリクションはMMAとファッションを融合させた先駆者だよ。またMMAを一緒に盛り上げる事が出来ると思うとうれしいよ」

ダナは本当に凄いですね、仲悪いと思ったらこんな発言が出来てしまうんですから。猪木なみの器の大きさです。見習わないと。
で一方のアフリクションサイドはこう申しています。

「私たちのブランドは”LIVE FAST”と同義語でUFCは私たちのブランドを広めるうってつけの場所です」アフリクションのエリックフォスは語りました。
「私たちはUFCと契約することで同意に至りました。私たちはMMAが良い方向に向かうよう、またUFCが良い試合をファンに届けられるようサポートして行きたいと思います。」
“Our brand is synonymous with the ‘Live Fast’ approach to life, and UFC is the perfect venue for us to market our brand,” Affliction co-founder Eric Foss stated. “We have come to an agreement with the UFC, which we feel will be the best for the sport and will help the UFC continue delivering the highest caliber of fights.”

とのこと。
“LIVE FAST”の意味が分かんないですが多分ライブ感のある生き方って感じですかね？

■この話と前後してしまいますが今日のラジオ出演のあとダナがいろいろと語ったようです。

「俺たちは今いろいろと計画している途中なんだ」それが何かとは言いませんでしたがダナは言いました。
「それはとんでもなくクレージーなことなんだぜ」

In a sea change for the promotional landscape of mixed martial arts, Affliction has agreed to cease promoting fights and become an official sponsor of the Ultimate Fighting Championship.

YAHOOスポーツは金曜日の午後にこの話題をレポートしましたが、UFCは公式に認めました。
Kevin Iole of Yahoo! Sports first reported the news on Friday afternoon, and a UFC official confirmed the report to MMAWeekly.

A joint announcement between the Las Vegas-based promotion and California-based clothing maker is expected soon.

契約の詳細はわかりませんが、早ければUFC101でアフリクションのTシャツを着た選手を見る事が出来るでしょう。

同様の事がアフリクションの去年の10月第2回大会の延期の際に提案されていました。UFCの重役とアフリクションのミーティングがラスベガスで秘密裏におこなわれ、大会を中止する代わりにUFCのスポンサーにならないかとアフリクション側は提案されていました。その時はアフリクションのトッドベアードとUFCのロレンゾフェッティタとの間で激しい交渉があり結局はアフリクションはその提案を断りました。
A similar deal was first proposed last October after the postponement of Affliction’s second event, “Day of Reckoning.” Executives from the UFC and Affliction met in secret in Las Vegas and offered to take Affliction on as a sponsor and co-branded apparel maker in exchange for ceasing to promote fights. Affliction executives rejected the offer after a fiery confrontation between co-founder Todd Beard and UFC co-owner Lorenzo Ferttita.

アフリクションの開催中止によって選手たちはどうなるか決まっていませんが第3回大会はもうありません。

凄いですね。裏切りと和解、最盛期の新日本プロレスを思い出させるような愛憎劇。PRIDEとK-1の冷戦時代もそうですが引き抜き合戦とか団体同士の舌戦がファンの気持ちに燃え上がらせるんですよね。。
でもほんとUFCは凄いです、本当だったら。
